Very happy with our boy

I bought my first horse this summer from Lynn and the communication was very clear and responsive at all times. He is a lovely, fit, healthy and very willing Irish cob and we bought him for myself and my children to enjoy. Lynn made a couple of recommendations from her available horses based on our needs. We had him on a 2 week trial first and while he was more nervous than the advert described for the first few weeks, he has settled in beautifully with us now. 4 months on we are all really enjoying him, all growing in confidence and we’re excited for our future with him.

We bought Trojan from Broadhill Stables in August 2025. We took advantage of the 2 week trial which was seamless. Trojan was everything and more as described. We are all thrilled with him. Would recommend anyone looking for the right horse to contact Broadhill with your wish list

I bought Murray from Lynn in 2024 as a 5yo and i have nothing but fantastic things to say about the service I got from Lynn and how happy I am with Murray. I explained to Lynn I was coming back to horse ownership after a 10 year break and wanted something simply to enjoy and Murray has been absolutely that and exactly what was said on the tin, we go out hacking and to fun rides and pop the occasional jump- he’s a yard favourite and very loved. Lynn offered a trial period and was very clear about what horses would fit my requirements.

Deirdre – Irish Draught Mare I had the pleasure of trialing Deirdre, a beautiful Irish Draught mare, and while I ultimately chose not to move forward with the purchase, I want to share my experience for the benefit of others. Deirdre is a striking, well-built mare with the hallmark presence and strength typical of her breed. She has a sweet, inquisitive personality on the ground and was a pleasure to handle in the stable—easy to catch, groom, and tack up. Under saddle, Deirdre showed a solid foundation and a genuine willingness to work. She has a good brain, with a steady, dependable demeanor that many riders will appreciate. She was brave and sure-footed, particularly out hacking, which speaks to her Irish Draught heritage. In the end, while Deirdre has many qualities to offer, I felt she wasn’t quite the right match for my specific riding goals and personal preferences. This was a hard decision, as she clearly has a lot to give and will thrive with a rider who connects with her way of going and wants to bring out her potential. I truly believe Deirdre will make a fantastic partner in the right home—especially for someone looking for a solid, kind-hearted mare with that classic Irish Draught character.

We’ve been looking for our second horse. We bought my daughter’s pony 2 yrs ago and deliberately avoided dealers because of the horror stories. We have been very lucky with George, he is a kind, honest pony and will be with us for life. For our next horse we wanted a mother daughter share. I’m more novice than my daughter, but she’s tiny for her age so isn’t confident on anything too big. A horse was advertised by Broadhill Stables and I’d heard good things so I enquired. Lynn has been brilliant. We whatsapped a lot and agreed a two week trial. But what really impressed me was she called me to have a chat. She was careful to say she wasn’t interviewing me, but I think she probably was 😆 But I actually found that reassuring because it made me think she cares about the horse going to the right home. We discussed what we planned to do with the horse and she said that sounded ideal, but if I’d said we wanted to do nothing but dressage she’d have said it wasn’t a good match. Again, this was reassuring. Lynn has recommended transport but there’s no obligation to use them. She’s sent me an agreement to read and sign. She also supplies tack and rugs for the trial period and she recommends if you want to do a vetting, do it a few days after the horse arrives so you’re sure you want to keep the horse before paying out for a vetting. I have been really impressed with all communication. Time will tell whether the horse will work out (I really hope he does!) but I feel in very safe hands with Lynn.
